Review #2: Lust’s Temptation

And another review of Lust’s Temptation! This one is by Amazon Nymph at Literary Nymphs. S/he gave it 4.5 nymphs.

The second book in the Masters of Sin series, Lust’s Temptation, was a pleasant surprise. Though Lust’s Temptation follows the concept of Lust divided into two men, the relationship between Troi, Oriel, and Amun was a pleasant surprise in the way it ended up because Amum is the submissive in the relationship between the three of them. Keep ice on hand as your read the various scenes between the men, both with Oriel, and the group scenes.

The emotions that the men invoke remind me that all of us can be just as vulnerable in our relationships. Ms. Taylor has created a surprising group of men that can turn all our heads and leave us wanting more. I am looking forward to the next book and can’t wait to see which sin will be next.

Review: Lust’s Temptation

I located this insightful review for Lust’s Temptation on the Seriously Reviewed blog.

Taylor has found a fascinating angle and I’m excited to read more in this series because of the potential.

Troi, Amun and Oriel are all great characters. Troi and Amun inner battle was intense, erotic and titillating but came with guilt and remorse. I loved the dichotomy of their struggle both to find the one that completes them sexually and screwing all the time. It was hot.

So far, so good. However, the blogger doesn’t have only good things to say about the story.
What is erectile dysfunction? Erectile buy cialis from canada dysfunction is a type of sexual dysfunction which compromise a man’s ability to perform well during an intimacy. After this emotional pain and trauma is tadalafil 20mg for women taken away and self-esteem is restored, the symptoms disappear, and alcohol will become repulsive to you. This is the best prices on levitra term that can be identified with Sil-den-afil citrate. Then, they can right away be addressed to deflect levitra 20 mg further complications.

Several times the story seemed to reinvent itself. I thought I was reading a story that had romantic suspense elements, then I was reading a BDSM story. Somewhere in the middle in comes Oriel’s Dad and the story once again became something else. If these were the tools to bring about motivation and change in the characters, they didn’t work for me. All sections were entertaining, well written and erotic. But what one scene had to do with the next was often lost for me.

Interesting feedback. Indeed, the elements she mentions are meant to illustrate the character’s change, or need for change. It’ll be interesting to see if other reviewers feel the same way this one did.

My thanks to Seriously Reviewed for the review and the feedback.

Lust’s Temptation Available Today!

At last, the second book in my Masters of Sin series is out. Lust’s Temptation is erotic and romantic, both. I hope you enjoy Amun and Troi’s story as much as I enjoyed writing it! It was truly a book of my heart.

Troi and Amun—one dominant, the other submissive, both alpha—are possessed by the spirit of Lust. Its dark demands have tested their will every minute of every day for centuries. And they’ve committed deviant, selfish acts to satisfy its unrelenting carnal hunger. But the guilt doesn’t overwhelm them until they meet Oriel. She is their salvation, their peace. They need her. But they don’t deserve her.

Life’s lessons have taught Oriel not to trust anyone, especially gorgeous men who will use anyone for their own satisfaction. Granted, they’re sexy. Charming. Her body responds to their every look and touch. But she can’t—won’t—take a chance on them. Until she discovers she can run away, but she can’t escape the emotions they stir.

As darkness closes in, Troi and Amun’s lives and souls hang in the balance. The beast will consume them if Oriel can’t accept her own dark needs, and trust the two men who have summoned her most decadent desires.

READ AN EXCERPT

Only Two More Days!

I haven’t had a new ebook release in ages. So I am extremely excited about the release of Lust’s Temptation this week.

This book took me months to write, and I feel it is as romantic as it is erotic. I hope you all agree! You can get a little sneak peek on the EC website (http://www.jasminejade.com/ps-8472-50-lusts-temptation.aspx). As the cover suggests, this book is a menage a trois romance. To clarify, it isn’t just menage/multiple sex.

One element that made this book both so enjoyable and such a challenge to write was the basic premise. The heroes are harboring the sin/spirit of lust. When I say lust, I don’t mean a little lust, typical lust. I mean overwhelming, disabling lust. For sex. For money. For every sort of satisfaction a man might seek. The dark spirit drives those two men to do some very self-centered, hurtful things, which makes it difficult to make them seem heroic or worthy of the heroine’s love. Being a romance novel, you know how the story ends. But you’ll have to read the book to see how I tackled this problem, to give these two devious boys their HEA :)

I hope you enjoy it!

Lust’s Temptation Cover

One thing I appreciate, as both a reader and writer, is when a publisher’s art department creates the covers of books in series with some kind of cohesive theme (color/font/subject) in mind. And so, I was pleased when I saw the cover for Lust’s Temptation for the first time.

However, in this case, looking at the cover, I also had a deja vu moment. I wonder, is it me?

Wrath’s Embrace

And now, Lust’s Temptation

Clearly, the photographs used in each are different. And both are scorching. But the overall impression is very much the same. Honestly, if I saw the second cover on a website, surrounded by other covers, I might mistake it for the earlier cover. Would you?

Your thoughts? Can covers be too similar? Or would the similarity make you take a second look?

UPDATE: How I LOVE Ellora’s Cave’s art department! I voiced my concern and minutes later, I had a revised cover. Check out the new and improved cover for Lust’s Temptation!
